#ExploratoryPhotography: The RiNo Art District, Lair o’ the Bear Park, and Red Rocks of Denver, Colorado

Denver, a city filled with a youthful energy, melds nature and modernity into a cohesive, unique culture of ingenuity. Last week, I had the pleasure to explore “The Mile High City” once again. The RiNo Art District (also known as the River North Art District) offers an intriguing blend of contemporary artistry, sophisticated cuisine, and memorable craft breweries. Although a relatively new area, RiNo has great potential to grow into a harbor of creativity like that of Camden Town in London.

In juxtaposition to the chic culture of the city, it was enjoyable to reconnect and appreciate nature’s elements on a mild hike through the Lair o’ the Bear Park. The park offered several gorgeous sights despite being on the tail-end of a dry winter. With a sea of brown and golden tones, I was given a perspective of the beauty behind nature’s rebirth. The grandeur of this mountainous area near fails to impress. One of the most awing of these local sights are the Red Rocks. The Red Rock Amphitheater represents Denver’s idiosyncratic fusion of nature and modernity as I mentioned earlier. It is a vision that cannot truly be captured by a lens.
